The Department of Applied Psychology at LCWU receives tremendous recognition as Prof. Dr. Amina Muazzam, a distinguished member of the Core Committee, participated in a meeting headed by the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi on mental health and well-being. This gathering, dedicated to planning nationwide mental health initiatives, sees the presence of eminent figures such as the Minister of Health, senior psychiatrists, and the regional director of WHO. Notably, Prof. Muazzam assumes a pivotal role, entrusted with leading a subcommittee tasked with crafting manuals and training programs aimed at empowering mothers to nurture the mental well-being of children, adolescents, and the elderly within the sanctity of their homes. It is noteworthy that her dedicated commitment extends over the course of the past year within this esteemed core committee.
