The Department of Statistics, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), Lahore in collaboration with the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis (LISA-LCWU), celebrated "International Day of Women in Statistics and Data Science" on October 20th, 2023.

Students of BS and MS Statistics decorated a corridor of the Statistics department to pay tribute to renowned women statisticians by displaying posters of their achievements in the field of statistics. Dr. Asifa Kamal, Chairperson, Department of Statistics, faculty, and team of LISA-LCWU joined the celebrations. Dr. Sharoon Hanook, Head of the Department of Statistics, Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) also graced the event. He visited the corridor and appreciated the students. He advised young future statisticians to keep exploring Statistics and Data Science for innovations. He also admires Dr. Asifa Kamal for her keen efforts in promoting Statistics as a subject for women.
