The Department of Sociology, in collaboration with the Punjab Food Authority and the Department of Home Economics, organized a one-day seminar titled "Health, Nutrition, and Food Security." Dr. Asma Seemi Malik, the head of the Department of Sociology, extended a warm welcome to all guests and students. Mr. Sarmad Asif, the Head of the Nutrition Department at the Punjab Food Authority, along with experts from the Department of Home Economics, emphasized the importance of making healthy food choices for all members of society, with a special focus on young students.
During the event, students from the Department of Sociology presented projects related to the seminar's theme. The distinguished Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shagufta Naz, graced the occasion and commended the students for their efforts in these projects and the department's overall contributions. Prof. Dr. Shagufta Naz also presented tokens of appreciation to the guests, judges, and winners.
