Entrepreneurial Expo 2024

The Entrepreneurial Expo held on April 22nd, 2024, at Lahore College for Women University, in collaboration with Khadija-Tul-Kubra Business Incubation Center (K-BIC), was a remarkable success. Dr. Adeel Nasir, Chairperson of the Department of Management Sciences, and Dr. Sobia Hassan, Incharge of Public Administration department, inaugurated the event, emphasizing its significance as a platform for female students to showcase their final year entrepreneurial business projects. Dr. Maria Anjum, Director Khadija-Tul-Kubra Business Incubation Center (K-BIC), formally started the program, welcomed the all esteemed CEOs from various renowned industries and moderated the interactive discussion sessions with the industry experts. The exhibition served a dual purpose: equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary for entrepreneurial success and fostering industry-academia linkages. Renowned CEOs and industrial experts, including Mr. Ghous Ur Rehman from Green Global Enterprise, Mr. Qasim Mehdi, Mr. Imran Ahmad Azhar from Azhar & Co., Mr. Muhammad Samee Liaquat from Packaging Solutions, and Adam Mohyunddin from Clustox Cosmetics, evaluated the projects and provided valuable insights on startup strategies, business plans, and marketing.Dr. Uzma Quraishi, Dean of the Faculty of Education, LCWU, commended the students and faculty for their dedication and emphasized the importance of empowering women to be independent entrepreneurs. Out of the 28 groups, the top ten were selected, with special recognition given to the top three winning teams: Banana Tex, Sand soap, and Spicy Greetings.Dr. Uzma Quraishi, Dr. Adeel Nasir, and Dr. Sobia Hassan distributed souvenirs to acknowledge the contributions of CEOs and industry experts. The event underscored the university's commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and fostering collaboration between academia and industry, setting a precedent for future endeavors.The Entrepreneurial Expo encapsulated the spirit of innovation and collaboration, exemplifying the university's dedication to empowering its female students. Through insightful evaluations, motivational speeches, and invaluable networking opportunities, EG-24 inspired the next generation of entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into reality.
