Physics Department LCWU Takes Students on Educational Excursion to Mangla Dam On May 11th, 2024

The Physics Department, Lahore College for Women University organized a combined recreational and educational trip to Mangla Dam situated on the Jhelum River in the Mirpur District of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. Led by chairperson Prof. Dr. Safia Anjum and accompanied by dedicated faculty members, BS, MS, and PhD students were treated to a comprehensive experience.

In addition to exploring the educational aspects of dam construction and hydroelectric power generation, students had the opportunity to unwind at the Mangla Water Resort. Here, they engaged in fast boating activities, enjoying the thrill of speeding across the dam's waters while taking in the scenic surroundings. This blend of academic learning and recreational fun exemplified the commitment of the Physics Department, LCWU, to offering holistic experiences for its students.
