The Department of Sociology, LCWU, organized a panel discussion on "Climate Justice and Child Labour – A Call to Action" in the context of "International Social Justice Day" in collaboration with Search for Justice. Distinguished speakers Dr. Asma Seemi Malik, Ms. Sara Hayat, Ms. Nida Usman Chaudhary, and Mr. Iftikhar Mubarik shared insights on climate change’s impact on vulnerable groups, particularly women and children.
They stressed the urgency of addressing environmental and social injustices in Pakistan. The session, moderated by Ms. Komal Riaz Cheema, emphasized the need for collective action to combat natural and man-made disasters, ensuring a just and sustainable future.
