International Seminar at National Centre of Excellence in Geology

One Day Seminar was organized under Dr. Nausheen Mazhar, Chairperson Geography Department’s PERIDOT Research Grant, which is a Franco-Pakistani Hubert Curien Partnership and HEC-funded Program Phase IX, at the RAK Tahirkheli Auditorium, National Centre of Excellence in Geology (NCEG), University of Peshawar on 20th February 2025. The seminar brought together experts to address the critical issue of Sedimentation in Tarbela reservoir and challenges for renewable energy generation. The seminar was organized by:

1.    Department of Geography, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) 

2.    Soil & Water Conservation, KPK 

3.    National Centre of Excellence in Geology (NCEG), University of Peshawar 

4.    Department of Geography, Universitý Paris-Cité, France

Experts from Pakistan and France, including Dr. Nausheen Mazhar (PI from Pakistan), Dr. Paul Passy (French PI), Dr. Muhammad Ali (Co-PI) and Ms. Nimra Arshad (Ph.D Student) shared their expertise on sedimentation management, water quality, and sustainable solutions for long-term reservoir capacity.
