The award, established in memory of the late Dr. R.K. Pachauri, recognizes young leaders worldwide who demonstrate outstanding contributions to addressing climate change through innovative action. Out of over 100 international entries, Asma’s work linking climate action, mental health, and community well-being was selected for its uniqueness and replicability.
Her journey began in 2010 during Pakistan’s worst floods, inspiring her to launch community initiatives. Since 2013, she has organized 1273 events, planted 16,000 trees, and positively impacted over 200,000 people.
