The Department of Gender and Development Studies organized "A Girl Child Day" in collaboration with Mumkin Alliance, OXFAM,  Ministry of Human Rights and Pakistan Association of Clinical Psychologists on 25th October.

The worthy vice chancellor, Prof. Dr Shagufta Naz, Ms. Lubna Mansoor, Director Ministry of Human Right, Mr. Salman Abid Executive Director Institute of Democratic Education and Advocacy and Dr. Mirrat Gul, Principal Clinical Psychology, Mayo Hospital in their addresses emphasized on the dire need of working on the protection of rights of the girl child. 

Dr. Uzma Ashiq Khan , Incharge Department of Gender and Development Studies and Ms. Ambreen Fatima Coordinator Mumkin Alliance also participated as speakers .
