Continuous Professional Development Workshop on “The Solar-PV Renewable Energy Systems: Part II.” organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering in collaboration with DFDI and PEC, 21st November 2023.
Lahore College for Women University's Department of Electrical Engineering recently organized a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshop titled "The Solar-PV Renewable Energy Systems: Part II." Conducted by Dr. Tahir Izhar, Director R&D at Maxell Lab Pvt. Ltd.
The event drew participation from professionals representing WAPDA, NTDC, solar companies, and a diverse group of students and faculty members.
The event, a sequel to last year's successful Part I session, delved into advanced aspects of solar energy systems, covering topics such as introduction, types, designs, economic analysis, and practical implementation. Dr. Izhar, a renowned expert in the field, shared valuable insights and real-world experiences, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
The workshop served as a platform for meaningful discussions and knowledge exchange between academia and industry professionals. Attendees, including representatives from WAPDA, NTDC, solar companies, as well as students and faculty members, engaged in interactive sessions that explored the latest developments and challenges in the renewable energy sector. Dr. Izhar emphasized the importance of such collaborative initiatives in bridging the gap between academic research and industry applications. The participants left with enriched perspectives and a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in implementing solar-PV renewable energy systems.
The certificates were given to the organizing team from DEE and DFDI including PEB-Coordinator, Dr. Faiza Iftikhar, and the guest speaker, Prof. Dr Tahir Izhar, and attendees from industries by Mr Ijaz Dar.
