Research Poster Competition IRC (DFDI)
"Global Engagement Day: Embracing Diversity, Building Unity (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion)”
December 15th, 2023: Internationalization Resource Centre (IRC-DFDI) organized Research Poster Competition "Global Engagement Day: Embracing Diversity, Building Unity (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion)" under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Uzma Qureshi Director of DFDI, in collaboration with University of Sunderland, UK and Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis (LISA-LCWU) on Dec 15th, 2023. University of Sunderland, UK sponsored the Research Poster Competition. Dr. Hafsah Batool and Dr. Asifa Kamal, COD Department of Statistics made all the arrangements for making the event successful. A total of 28 posters from various departments of LCWU were presented. Dr. Kalsoom Akhtar Head of Statistics department Kinnared College, Dr. Muhammad Ejaz Sandhu Director Operations Burki Institute of Public Policy and Dr. Muhammad Avais Tahir chief of Research at Pakistan Economic Research Institute evaluated posters in terms of novelty, display and presentation of research. Mr. Syed Muhammad Ali and Mr. M.Ghazali Akhtar from University of Sunderland, UK joined the poster competition and prize distribution ceremony of the event. Syeda Aroob Shah, Nimra Kareem and Nimra Arshad got first position with PKR 15000, second position with PKR 10000 and third position with PKR 5000. An additional cash prize of PKR 3000 was given to Afrah Hafeez and Warda Khan for getting fourth position from our honourable guest from University of Sunderland, UK. Principal intermediate college Prof. Dr. Safia Anjum, COD Geography department Dr. Nausheen Mazhar and COD Economics Department Dr. Samia Nasreen also graced the price distribution ceremony and distributed certificates among poster participants. Chairpersons from different departments, directors and faculty members graced the event. Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shagufta Naz presented cash prizes to position holders and souvenir to respected judges and organizers. Dr. Hafsa Batool presented Shield and Bouquet to Worthy Vice Chancellor as a token of gratitude.
