Managing Stress: A Workshop by Dr Kari Ellingson (Focal Area Lead) under USAID HESSA at LCWU
A Stress Management workshop was organized under USAID HESSA (Component C) on January 16, 2025. Dr. Kari Ellingson (Associate Vice President for Student Development at the University of Utah) Focal Lead of Mental Health and Mrs Samina Uzair Student Counselor/Clinical Psychologist and focal representative of Lahore College for Women University for Mental Health were the resource persons of the training.
The objective of this workshop is to promote well-being among students. For this purpose, stress is highlighted as an inevitable part of life, especially for university students. Healthy stress can help us perform to the best ability, but too much stress can undermine our health and well-being. Workshop highlights the ways to recognize unhealthy stress, risk factors of stress, and strategies to help you thrive in the face of stress. Available resources at LCWU were also disseminated that can help students throughout university life.
