The Department of Gender and Development Studies in collaboration with Aurat Foundation organized awareness session on "Tobacco and Emerging Nicotine Products" on 24 January 2025 in Seminar Hall Student Service Centre, Lahore College for Women University, Lahore.The guest speakers Ms. Sumaira Hashmi Resident Director Punjab, Ms. Nabeela Shaheen Program Manager, and Mr Sayed Safdar Raza Project Lead National Office (Islamabad) addressed on tobacco consumption, that continues to pose a significant public health challenge in Pakistan, particularly among young students, it is imperative that educational institutions adopt a proactive approach to addressing and mitigating this issue.
