International Webinar on Empowering Change & Advancing Global Excellence

08-03-2025: The Faculty Development Program at UET Lahore has organized an International Webinar in collaboration with LCWU on “Women Leadership in Higher Education: Empowering Change & Advancing Global Excellence.”

The webinar brought together renowned national and international speakers to discuss equity, inclusion, and leadership in academia. With participants joining from across the world, the session served as a powerful platform for fostering mentorship, collaboration, and leadership development for women in higher education.

Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Vice Chancellor, UET Lahore, congratulated Prof. Dr. Aneela Anwar, Incharge Faculty Development Program, UET Lahore, Prof. Dr. Iram Anjum, Principal Kinnaird College for Women, and Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, Vice Chancellor, Lahore College for Women University, for successfully organizing this impactful event. He emphasized the importance of women’s education, the need for continuous learning even after marriage, and the role of women’s empowerment in Islam. He further reaffirmed that UET Lahore is committed to promoting women’s education through various forums and societies.

He acknowledged all the distinguished speakers for their invaluable contributions: Dr. Cheryl Whiting (UK), Dr. Revathy Sankaran (Malaysia), Prof. Dr. Iram Anjum (Pakistan), Dr. Julie Sinclair (USA), and Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi (Pakistan). Their insights on leadership, inclusion, and academic excellence provided an enriching experience for all participants.
