Workshop on Navigating Success with Skills and Mental Wellness

The Career Guidance and Counseling Centre, in collaboration with the Department of Economics at LCWU, successfully conducted a 3-day workshop series titled Empower & Flourish: Navigating Success with Skills and Mental Wellness, aimed at fostering personal and professional growth among final-year BS Economics students.The series began on February 7th, 2025, with a session on Cultivating Interpersonal Skills & Emotional Wellness, led by Dr. Mamoona Riaz. This interactive workshop focused on enhancing interpersonal skills, communication strategies, and emotional intelligence, helping students develop self-awareness and foster emotional well-being.On February 11th, 2025, the second workshop, Thriving Under Pressure: Managing Interview Anxiety & Building Resilience, addressed techniques for handling interview stress and anxiety. Through roleplay and hands-on activities, students practiced staying calm and confident in high-pressure scenarios while building resilience.The final session, held on March 11th, 2025, titled Pathways to Success: Navigating Job Search & Crafting Impactful Applications, provided students with essential tools for job hunting, resume building, and crafting tailored applications. An engaging Q&A session further enhanced their readiness for the competitive job market.In her closing remarks, Dr. Samia Nasreen, Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, expressed gratitude to Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal, Head of the Department of Economics, for facilitating such valuable initiatives. She also acknowledged the efforts of the organizers, Ms. Sajida Kamran and resource person Dr. Mamoona Riaz, impactful and engaging workshop series.
