TEDxLCWU, November 27, 2025
The TEDxLCWU 2025 event, held on November 27th, 2025, had an evocative concept encapsulated by the title, "Avalanche Within: Unleashing the Power of Possibility."
The day commenced with a soulful Tilawat and the National Anthem, setting a respectful tone, followed by a warm welcome address and essential host instructions. The speaker lineup immediately captured attention: Dr. Aqsa Shabbir tackled the intense pressures of ambition, advocating for "fighting battles with grace." Halima Tariq shared her transformative journey, detailing her decision to leave the legal profession for filmmaking, powerfully asserting that the "right moment" for change is a myth. Dr. Ali Falak offered a poignant, globe-trotting narrative on unpacking emotional baggage, from the thrill of skydiving to the quiet solace of finding "home" in a tiny Tokyo apartment.
The subsequent break was a vibrant hub of activity, featuring a review board, engaging photo spots, a competitive ring toss, and a variety of enticing food and accessory stalls. The atmosphere continued to energize with a lively Q&A session. The program then returned with compelling performances: Archaeologist Saad Zahid captivated the audience by exploring and dating the ancient age of Pakistan. Certified Kathak artist Timsal Fatima delivered a beautiful and deeply moving performance, using the rhythmic storytelling of her classical rhythm to leave the entire hall spellbound.
To bring the memorable event to a close, heartfelt thoughts and appreciation were shared by the key organizers.
