November 27, 2025: Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, Vice Chancellor of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), attended the International Social Sciences Conference 2025 as the “Chief Guest” at Government Graduate College for Women, Gulberg, an affiliated college of LCWU. She formally inaugurated the Textile Design Exhibition titled “Sustainable and Smart Textiles as the Way Forward for Community Progress”, organized by the Department of Textile Design.
In her keynote address, Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi commended the college for effectively aligning academic research, creative disciplines and socially responsive learning with the broader academic vision of LCWU. She acknowledged the Principal Prof. Dr. Nighat Naheed Zafar and commended the institution’s commitment to quality education, innovation and meaningful community engagement. Dr. Quraishi emphasized the importance of research excellence, creative innovation and stronger academic linkages across LCWU and its affiliated colleges. Her presence, address and inauguration of the exhibition served as a distinguished highlight of the event.
