3D Laser Scanning Workshop – Architecture Department Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) by Dr. Asia Jabeen

The Department of Architecture at LCWU organized an insightful and highly interactive session on 3D Laser Scanning, conducted by renowned architect and digital documentation expert Ar. Waqar Ahmad. The workshop introduced students to advanced surveying techniques, modern documentation tools, and the transformative role of laser scanning the historic Ganga Ram Building, LCWU the session introduced students to advanced scanning techniques used for architectural preservation and heritage recording.

Ar. Waqar demonstrated the complete process of 3D documentation—from scanning structures to generating accurate digital models—highlighting how these tools enhance precision, efficiency, and innovation in architectural practice. Demonstrated the complete workflow of 3D scanning and digital modelling, enabling students to train firsthand.
