Session Overview & Discussions:

Khadija-tul-Kubra Business Incubation Center (K-BIC), Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), conducted an online mentorship session for Cohort III startups on Tuesday, 24th March 2026, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The session was mentored by Prof. Dr. Raja Irfan Sabir, Professor (Innovation & Marketing), Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Central Punjab (UCP), Lahore. The mentorship session was organized by Ms. Kashaf Khan, Business Development Officer, K-BIC, LCWU, under the guidance & leadership of Dr. Faiza Iftikhar, Director K-BIC, with the support and teamwork of the K-BIC Entrepreneurial Club.

The session provided a valuable platform for participants to openly discuss the challenges they are facing in their respective startups and receive practical guidance on startup management, marketing strategies, scaling, and operational problem-solving. Key issues highlighted during the discussion included low social media engagement, difficulty in attracting and retaining customers, limited financial resources, product photography challenges, prototype development, refining production processes, pricing and revenue strategies, and balancing business operations alongside academic responsibilities.

During the session, Prof. Dr. Raja Irfan Sabir guided the participants on building a strong online presence, creating engaging content, and effectively using Instagram and WhatsApp for marketing. He also shared practical insights on influencer collaborations, budget allocation for advertisements and promotions, sales funnel development, product promotion techniques, and setting up the WhatsApp Business catalog for improved product presentation. In addition, students were advised on strategic planning, storytelling for branding, scaling production while maintaining quality, and practical ways to increase customer engagement and sales.

The interactive nature of the session allowed participants to seek clarification on their concerns and receive actionable advice for their startups. The discussion remained focused on practical, step-by-step solutions to help early-stage entrepreneurs address their marketing and operational challenges more effectively.

Overall, the mentorship session emphasized the importance of effective marketing, organized operational planning, and sound financial management in building sustainable businesses. By the end of the session, participants had gained valuable insights into startup growth strategies and developed greater confidence in applying practical solutions to strengthen and scale their ventures.
